How do I convert an image to 50 KB?

Will my image be exactly the selected size?
Yes. A 50 KB image downloads as exactly 50,000 bytes; 100 KB downloads as 100,000 bytes. The tool compresses the image and adds valid file padding to reach the selected size without changing the final pixels. File managers using binary units may display a different number. Saving the image again in another app can change its size.
Does compressing affect image quality?
JPG and WebP compression can remove image detail. This tool first searches for a quality setting that fits, then reduces dimensions when necessary. PNG is resized to reduce its file size. Always check the compressed preview before using it.
Are my photos uploaded or stored?
This converter processes the selected image in your browser and does not upload or save it on a server. Refreshing or closing the page clears the selected image from the tool. Only your light or dark theme preference is stored locally.
Which image formats are supported?
Choose JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, SVG, AVIF, ICO or another image your browser can decode, up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. JPEG files named .jpj or .jfif also work. HEIC, TIFF and other specialist formats depend on your browser; an unsupported file shows an error. Download as JPG, PNG or WebP. GIF and other animations become a single still image.
